Admission requirements: Application information  The common regulations governing the Master of Arts Degree minimum application qualification shall apply.  A candidate must have the following minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree of the University of Nairobi with at least a Lower Second Class or equivalent qualifications from institutions recognised by the University of Nairobi Senate. A candidate must have the following minimum qualifications: (a) Bachelors degree of the University of Nairobi with at least a Lower Second Class or equivalent qualifications from institutions recognised by the University of Nairobi Senate. (b) A Pass Bachelor's degree plus a Postgraduate Diploma in a relevant field. Regulations for Credit Transfers The common regulations governing the transfer of credits in the Faculty of Arts shall apply A candidate from a recognized University, or any other equivalent institution recognized by the University of Nairobi senate, shall be allowed to transfer credits from his/her University if those credits are deemed relevant and meet the required minimum contact hours. Where a candidate wishes to be exempted from any course unit, he/she shall follow the procedure set out below: - (i) The candidate shall send a formal application for exemption to the Academic Registrar through the Dean of Arts, justifying his/her request and attaching evidence of the credentials, which would... Structure: Schedule of intakes Programme intake is once every year in September with the course duration taking two Academic Years. Mode of delivery The program is offered under three modules; full time, part time and through open distance and e- learning. This will involve face to face and online lecture sessions, written instructional study materials and mediated technical learning materials. Exemption from One or More Course Units A person admitted to the postgraduate diploma programme may, on acceptable grounds, apply for exemption from one or more course units, provided that no person shall be exempted from more than 30% of the total number of course units that he/she shall be required to take in order to graduate. Applicants who meet the following criteria may apply for exemption: i) A person who has followed the prescribed course of instruction in the relevant course unit(s) and passed the applicable examination(s) for the semester or semesters in question at the University of Nairobi;...
